AYeconomics

AYeconomics in an independent research centre that promotes and conducts innovative research in the field of economics and social sciences. AYeconomics considers that better knowledge of leads to better decisions, for this reason we provide high-quality research and policy recommendations on socio-economic issues. Collaborating with national and international centres, universities and research institutions, the company links the academy with decision makers to generate new ideas and discover innovative solutions to the problems of society. For the generation of valid data, simulation and visualization of the effects of economic policies, and thus facilitate decision-making. The AYeconomics team is made of Aizhan Samambayeva (Researcher), Yolanda Pena-Boquete (Researcher), María del Carmen Vilariño López (PhD student), Dildora Ibragimova (Researcher), Iria Dios Murcia (PhD Student) and Maftuna Sayitova (Project Manager).

Yolanda Pena-Boquete is a co-funder of AYeconomics and Head of Research Division. She received her doctorate in Economics from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) in 2009. Subsequently, she got a postdoctoral research contract at the University of Vigo (Uvigo) funded by the Galician regional Government for 3 + 1 years. She has held visiting positions at the University of York (May 2010-November 2011), the University of Arizona (January-June 2012) and the University of Salerno (June-October 2012 and November-December 2014).


Aizhan is co-funder of AYeconomics and Head of the Central Asia Division. She has a Phd in Economics from The University of Santiago de Compostela, 2013, and MBA in Marketing from the University of Ljubljana, 2010. She has considerable experience at government research structure. She headed research unit at the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan managing research cooperation with development institutions (World Bank, EBRD, OECD, ADB, EcoMod, IMF etc.) and consulting companies. She coordinated networking and partnerships with Central Asian and Post-Soviet Union research institutes, associations and independent research organizations.


Iria Dios-Murcia has a Master degree in Regional Development and Economic Integration by the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) in 2015 and a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing by Digital Marketing Institute (UK) in 2018. She has experience in Spain (USC project in cluster of companies improvement in 2015 and AYeconomics Research Centre since 2018) and United Kingdom (Atik Cameras, 2016-2018). She is specialised in Project Management with competences on Website design, Management and Dissemination activities.


Maftuna Sayitova is Project Manager of AYeconomics. She has BA in International Relations from Kazan Federal University of Russia and MA in IR from Kocaeli University (KOU) of Turkey. She had a Scholarship of LCC International University of Lithuania in 2017. She has held visiting positions at Silesian University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (October 2019-February 2020). She has experience in Kirov Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Russian Federation in 2015 and 2017 as a project assistant. She had experience in AYeconomics Research Centre in 2019 as a Project Assistant in Central Asia Division.


María del Carmen Vilariño-López. Industrial doctorate and researcher in the Health Economics department in AYeconomics. Master degree in Regional Development and Economic Integration (USC). She has professional experience in two European projects of research about health policies – The Nutriage Project and CódigoMáis Project – both funded by POCTEP-FEDER. She participated as a project manager in other 4 European projects (Founded by the European Social Fund) for the implementation and assessment of public policies. Currently, her project research is related to the impact analysis of the regional health systems in Kazakhstan.


Dildora Ibragimova has MA in Economics and Finance from Leeds University Business School and PhD in Business Management (USC). She worked in consulting companies on credit risk modeling (validation of PD/LGD/EAD models), and model risk assessment methods, advising private and institutions investors on best investment solutions together with the team, successfully accomplished a project with one of the major clients (US based): implementing various analyses, providing project deliverables, liaising with clients. She was visiting lecturer at Vesalius College in Brussels in affiliation with VUB (Belgium) and senior lecturer at Westminster International University (Uzbekistan).
